Orlando Wrongful Death Lawyer

Top Law School Graduate With Many Honors & Career Awards, Former Big Firm Attorney, and Former Law Professor

Wrongful Death Attorney OrlandoIf you need an Orlando wrongful death lawyer, you have come to the right place.  Ms. Willis is an extremely careful & thorough advocate, who spends an extensive amount of time and effort on each and every case she is able to accept.

If you need a Florida wrongful death lawyer, please text or call (407) 383-7290 for immediate assistance!

Her background is second to no other injury lawyers in the state of Florida.

After graduating from Florida State University College of Law in 1995, Ms. Willis finished second in her class, then joined two large Atlanta law firms where she practiced employment and excess coverage insurance defense with clients like Lloyd’s Of London (which frequently involved the oversight of insurance defense attorneys handling primary (as opposed to excess) insurance policy claims).  One of those firms was one of the top 100 largest firms in the country.  In those positions, she primarily represented medium and large business in defending claims brought against them, very often in multi-million dollar lawsuits. She later taught both advanced legal writing and civil procedure as a law professor at Barry University (and also tutored other law students on both legal writing and civil procedure during law school).  She also spent many years helping other attorneys draft complex but critically important documents in major litigation and very high dollar cases before she opened her own practice.

Many Career Awards For This Orlando Wrongful Death Attorney

Ms. Willis has won many awards during her career, and even before her career began in law school, where she finished second in her class, and won numerous highly competitive law school awards, such as book awards, Law Review & Order of the Coif.  Only a very small percentage of law students achieve these accomplishments during law school.

Since then, she has been selected as a National Trial Lawyers as a Top 100 Trial Lawyer; (2) been selected as a “10 Best” Client Satisfaction Award, from the American Institute of Personal Injury Attorneys; (3) been nominated as a “Ten Best Female Lawyers” in Florida, by the American Institute of Personal Injury Attorneys; (4) been selected as one of the “10 Best Florida Lawyers,” by the American Institute of Legal Counsel (2015 & 2016); (5) been selected as a Number One Personal Injury, Car Accident & Wrongful Death Attorney By Orlando Style Magazine, based on client and other attorney ratings; (6) been selected as one of the “Three Best Rated” Orlando Accident Attorneys based on handpicked selection; (7) achieved a “superb” perfect “10.0” AVVO rating as an auto accident attorney; and (8) been named one of Orlando’s “Ten Best” personal injury attorneys by Thumbtack rating system.

Ms. Willis is also a former law professor & big firm defense attorney.

Important Disclaimers

This information on this page is designed to give you a general idea of wrongful death law in Florida. However, the law frequently changes and is subject to countless numbers of exceptions, exclusions, and variations, which only a lawyer can evaluate. Additionally, although we made every effort to provide accurate information on this website, we did not give preparation of the material on this website the same level of attention and scrutiny that we would give to a potential client’s or client’s case. So you should not rely on anything on this page but rather should speak with one of our attorneys to confirm that the information is accurate, the law has not changed and to better determine how the law applies to your particular case.

No representation is made that the quality of this firm’s legal work is better than the quality of the legal work of other lawyers.

My office is located in Orlando, Florida. However, I am a licensed attorney in the states of Florida & Georgia, so I can accept wrongful death cases from either of those states, and I give all cases the same level of careful attention regardless of where they are located.

What if you are located in another state?

Attorneys cannot handle cases out of the states where they are licensed without joining co-counsel from the other state. However, this can often be easily done and does not cost you any more money. If you are from another state, then I might also be able to help you find an attorney from your state through my attorney contacts all over the U.S., and still stay involved in an oversight or co-counsel capacity.
